Thought you had to wait until summer to enjoy local produce and other fresh treats that are typically found at a Farmers Market? Well, the wait is finally over! Get ready for the Norwalk Winter Indoor Farmers Market on Sunday, March 27th, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. It will take place at 61-65 Wall Street in Norwalk.
Farmers markets have become a great way for friends and families to gather and discover fresh local produce, baked goods, crafts and other fun treats. At the upcoming Norwalk Winter Farmers Market, some of the products that will be available include locally grown produce, farm raised beef, pork, eggs, Maine seafood, goats milk soap products, fresh baked goods, and crafts. The Winter Farmers Market is only a short drive for residents of Morningside Gardens apartments in Norwalk and provides a great opportunity for residents to peruse locally-produced goods in a fun setting.
For a fun and interesting twist, the organizers of the Norwalk Winter Farmers Market are also looking to incorporate local artists into the winter market. The goal of the market is to provide a venue for local producers and creators in Fairfield County to showcase their wares, and foster a sense of community. And, the event will actually be held at an artisan space sponsored in cooperation with the Norwalk Winter Farmers Market and the Norwalk Arts Commission. The event itself is sponsored by the city of Norwalk, POKO Partners, Stanley M. Seligson Properties, Fat Cat City, local residents, and Gazy Brothers Farm.
