Spring is here and it’s already time for parents to start looking ahead to summer camps being offered in and around Stamford, Connecticut. Below is a list of some of the summer camps in the area:

Pathfinders Adventure Camp- This adventurous summer day camp program provides exciting activities for middle school children ages 10-14 including rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, art, instructional sports, swimming and more. The Pathfinders Adventure Camp begins on June 28^th and is currently accepting registrations for summer 2010.

Camp SoundWaters 2010- Located on Long Island Sound, Camp SoundWaters is a day camp that explores nature along the Long Island Sound Waterfront. Kids in grades K-5 participate in nature discovery, grades 4-8 explore small boat sailing, and grades 6-9 enjoy a schooner adventure. Sessions begin as early as June 21^st.

Long Ridge Camp- A wide variety of activities are offered at Long Ridge Camp for ages 3-13 including sports, art, nature, and swimming.  Long Ridge Camp has a long tradition dating back to 1962 and will begin their 2010 camp on June 28^th.

These three are only a few suggestions of the many options you have for summer camps in Connecticut. There is no doubt a summer camp perfect for your kids that is close and convenient to your downtown Stamford apartment, you just need to find it.
