Brooksvale Fall Festival on October 16, 2010

The 11th Annual Brooksvale Fall Festival returns to Brooksvale Park in Northern Hamden on Saturday, October 16, 2010.  The festival will feature food vendors, exhibitors, pony rides, games and crafts for children, up close animal encounters on the farm, and so much more.

The Brooksvale Fall Festival is located just of Route 10 only minutes away from some of the best apartments in New Haven including Montoya Apartments and Seramonte Apartments. The festival is free and attendees are encouraged to carpool.

3rd Annual Blues, Views and BBQ Festival in Westport

The 3rd Annual Blues, Views, & BBQ Festival takes place in Westport, Connecticut on September 24- 26, 2010. Located on the beautiful banks of the Saugatuck River, this 3 day event will feature live bands, street performers, cooking demonstrations, BBQ/Music education classes, inflatable fun for kids, and of course some of the best BBQ you may have ever tasted.

Blues Traveler will be kicking off the festival with a concert on Friday Night at the Levitt Pavilion. Tickets for the festival range in price from $10 for one day ($45 for Blues Traveler) to $60 for a 3 day pass which includes the Blues Traveler concert on Friday.

Tour des Farms Bicycle Ride in Hamden

If you enjoy cycling then it’s hard to imagine a better way to spend your Sunday afternoon than the Tour des Farms bicycle ride in Hamden, CT on Sunday, August 1, 2010. The 25 mile route will take riders to local farms, greenhouses, orchards, and historic sites around the New Haven area.

Along each stop, participants will get to enjoy the sounds of local Connnecticut musicians including Kate Callahan, John Ciambriello, Frank Critelli, and Brian Dolzani. The tour will end at Hamden’s Miller Cultural Complex with an outdoor evening concert with special guests, Caravan of Thieves. (more…)
