Be sure to decorate safely.

If you're planning on making decorations like this, you definitely need to brush up on your safety tips.

We all know not to overload circuits, bypass safety measures and use shoddy extensions cords when it comes to everyday living. There are plenty of seasonal safety matters to keep in mind, when it comes to holiday decorations. If you’re a resident of Hamden rental apartments, then here are a few safety tips to keep your home safe from dangerous accidents.

On the electric side, make sure you check your lights every year for parts that may be worn out, missing lights and fuses, gaps in insulation or anything else that causes the lights to look or act questionable. With fire hazards, if there is a question it’s always better to play it safe and repair if you can or replace. LED decorations are commonly available now, and are both cooler and more energy-efficient, so there’s less worry for fire hazard and lower electricity bills. (more…)

New Haven Rentals Have Plenty of Higher Education Options

Those who are enjoying or searching for New Haven rentals should know that colleges and universities offer a variety of online and distance learning school degree programs. Online programs include bachelor and masters degrees as well as career training degree certificates. Some of the online certificate programs include Admin Assistant and Secretarial Science; Business Administration; Computer Technology; Early Childhood and Elementary Education; Health and Medical Assistant; Administrative and Management Services; Nursing; Pharmacy Technician; and Legal Assistant.

Similar to the pursuit of any academic program, online school requirements are based on timing. They depend on the kind of degree or certificate one is pursuing, whether or not the student is full or part-time and if summer classes are included in the schedule. You can find many accredited online university options here: http://www.localcollegeexplorer.com/Online_Degree/Accredited_Online_Universities.html.

Some of the reasons why students are turning to online schools more and more are their flexibility and affordability. There are more online courses in the evenings and weekends, students do not need to pay travel expenses and they can work independently without distractions. If a student is caring for children, elderly, or other family members, these at-home programs do not preclude the student from these types of responsibilities. (more…)

Best Pizza Near Seramonte

Did you know that New Haven, Connecticut features not only beautiful New Haven apartments, but also three of the best-known pizza places ever? They are Sally’s, Pepe’s and Modern. It has been told that some of the world leaders, diplomats and notables have patronized one or all of these places, including President Clinton, Frank Sinatry, Jimmy Durante and Don Rickles.

Sally’s is renown for its thin-crust, individually-made pie style still baked in the same coal-fired oven that has been in operation for more than 60 years. Sally’s is one of the oldest family-run pizzerias in the northeast, and one of the cornerstone restaurants in the New Haven “Pizza wars.” The jury is still out when it comes to actually determining which pizza is best. If you happen to be in a rush, then you might want to postpone a visit to this establishment because waiting is part of the pizza tradition. Nevertheless, reports indicate that the end result is well-worth the wait. Take out is available, but there’s a wait for take-out too! By the way, Sally’s only serves pizza, soda and beer! For more information, visit the Sally’s Pizza website. (more…)
